You’re at a crossroads, whether by choice or circumstance, and things feel uncertain, unsteady, or overwhelming. Maybe it’s a career shift, a breakup, becoming a parent, leaving religion, or just craving some deeper work on self-discovery and improvement. Transitions can shake everything up, but they also create space for realignment, healing, and growth. You're seeking relief, but more than that, you want meaning, clarity, and a stronger connection to yourself. You're not just looking for symptom management but real transformation.
Whether you feel resilient or not, odds are you’ve overcome a lot to be here. In doing so, maybe you’ve adopted a lot of techniques that helped you in your past but are no longer working the way they used to. Or maybe you’ve known you’ve needed the space to process but never found the “right time.”
Hi, I’m Meg, and I support couples, adolescents, and adults navigating big life changes and identity shifts with curiosity, compassion, and clarity. In therapy, we’ll explore what’s ending, what’s beginning, and work to understand you in your own context and experience. My work is trauma-informed, culturally responsive, and deeply client-centered, because your story deserves to be told and honored in full.
As a therapist, I incorporate elements of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), and take a humanistic approach. This means I believe in taking a holistic view of human growth, the inherent goodness of people, and the power of self-discovery. In our work together, you can expect to move through discomfort by working to understand and accept those *not so easy parts* of yourself and your experience more fully. In my office we will help identify patterns, thoughts, and behaviors in a way that is active, meaning that we won’t just sit in self-discovery, we will incorporate tools that promote the positive change and healing you crave.
A little bit about me, I'm a third-year counseling student at Vanderbilt University with over 7 years of experience in the helping field as a hospital social work assistant, caregiver, EMT, homelessness case manager, and school counseling intern. Following my undergraduate career at Santa Clara University in California, I spent time as an Americorps volunteer in Boise, ID and then as a market researcher in Seattle, WA. Moving between five different states throughout my life sparked a passion for helping others navigate change and life decisions. This ultimately led me back to my hometown of Nashville to pursue a career in counseling. Here, I’ve spent the past 2 years working with children and adolescents across contexts in a school counseling office. Outside the office you will probably find me hiking, sweating my way through hot yoga, exploring Nashville through coffee shops, relaxing with friends, finding a concert, or trying out a new artistic endeavor.
