For much of my life, I believed my role was to keep others happy—to be the good son, the achiever, the one who earned approval and belonging. As the oldest of three, I learned early how to perform, please, and measure myself by how accepted I felt. What I didn’t yet understand was how deeply anxiety, fear, and attachment wounds were shaping my life from a very young age.
Over time, that way of living came to a crashing halt. Fear, anger, shame, and patterns of escape became familiar companions, leaving me isolated during some of my darkest moments. I am also someone in long-term recovery, and through that experience I came to understand both the cost of disconnection and the power of healing when we no longer walk alone. Within that brokenness came an unexpected gift: desperation—and the willingness to accept help. With the support of others, I reached out and began my own healing journey.
That journey led me back to myself and to my calling. I began working in addiction treatment and residential settings, supporting individuals navigating substance use, compulsive behaviors, and co-occurring mental health challenges. Through my own therapeutic work and the guidance of a skilled and compassionate therapist, I felt called to return to school and fully engage the whole human experience—emotionally, relationally, and spiritually. The freedom and restoration I experienced in my own life ignited a deep passion to walk alongside others as they heal.
Today, I offer individual, couples, and group therapy. I work with substance use and recovery, challenges related to intimacy and compulsive sexual behaviors, complex trauma (including developmental and relational trauma), sexual shame and abuse, anxiety, and the lasting impact of growing up in dysfunctional or chaotic family systems. I also support adults from alcoholic or emotionally unpredictable homes (ACA) who learned early how to survive through hyper-responsibility, people-pleasing, emotional numbing, or disconnection.
My work is grounded in an attachment-based, trauma-informed lens. I believe healing happens in safe, honest relationships where people can explore their stories without judgment and begin to form new ways of relating—to themselves and to others. Reaching out for help is one of the bravest and hardest things a person can do, and it is a true privilege to walk alongside clients as they reconnect with authenticity, hope, and wholeness.
I feel deeply called to this profession because I have lived it. I understand the courage it takes to face long-held pain, to ask for help, and to begin again. It is my honor to meet people in some of the hardest seasons of their lives and support them as they move toward healing, connection, and restoration.
