Hi! I am Alexandra, and I have a passion for working with children, women and first responders who have experienced trauma. I believe in providing a safe space to hold your experiences and trauma, to sit with you in the dark when you cannot see the light. I am passionate about making a difference for those who have suffered traumatic life experiences, anxiety, depression, borderline personality disorder, PTSD or cPTSD, relational issues with their parents, and teens with delinquency issues.

You may wonder why I entered the field, or who I am. Let me explain that I understand deep pain. I have experienced my own traumatic life experiences, death, and struggles. I previously had a career in criminal justice and between my own experience with therapy and my previous career, I was inspired to do more and become a therapist. I know what it’s like to think that there is no light at the end of the tunnel. You have made the difficult first step of asking for help, help to find your light again. I am so proud of you for reaching out for help, and I would be honored to help you on your journey.

My approach is that of a pivoting with clients. I understand that one method may not be enough. I understand that you may need multiple ways to heal, and I am here to pivot with you in your journey. My passion for understanding the brain and understanding the nervous system drives my work with clients.

Let me tell you about my previous career: I spent almost a decade working in the criminal justice field. I have worked with abused children, foster children, adults and youth involved in the criminal justice system and first responders in my roles. I have a master’s degree in criminal justice: forensic psychology and a master’s in clinical mental health counseling both from Liberty University. This previous career and education inspire me daily in my work as a therapist.

I am also a Christian and offer Christian integration if that is requested by a client. I hold membership with the American Association of Christian Counselors. I am trained as a Trauma Specialist through the Arizona Trauma Institute, and I am currently training in Somatic Attachment. Additionally, I am referral source for several holistic groups, including the Holistic Collective of TN and Amen Clinics out of Atlanta. I have a love for the holistic community, and I have a gift for showing clients what they are struggling with and empowering them to heal from their traumas.

If you are looking for a therapist who understands what it is like to go through hard things, overcome them and live a fulfilling life, I believe I am the therapist for you. Together, we can partner, overcome and rewrite your story.
