Additionally, she holds training certificates in Domestic Abuse Victim Advocacy and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TFCBT).

Tara commonly treats trauma, anxiety, relational problems, divorce recovery, ADHD, and life transitions. She also specializes in helping women heal from the trauma of destructive intimate relationships. Her primary goal is to create a safe environment for her clients. Tara uses a trauma-informed polyvagal approach to help clients understand their nervous systems and their responses to the stimuli in their lives. She strives to help clients grow in self-compassion and self-understanding, so that they may approach their trauma and difficulties with internal safety and confidence. She uses evidence-based modalities to help clients heal from trauma so that they may open themselves up to new growth and possibilities. She also employs a post-traumatic growth framework to help clients recognize their own resilience and competency as they seek to heal and create a life they love. Tara passionately believes that clients can heal from trauma. Her approach to therapy is integrative and adapted to each client's individual needs. She uses a collaborative approach, inviting her clients' input into their needs and desires in therapy. She understands that one of the most devastating parts of trauma is the lack of control that is experienced by the individual and wants her clients to feel empowered and have agency in their therapy experience as they pursue healing.
