Fear itself is a messenger. When we allow ourselves to slow down, settle our nervous system, and approach fear with curiosity instead of judgment, it can reveal what we need for protection, help, and refuge. This approach, drawn from the work of Dr. Dan Allender and from Dr. Brene Brown, helps you see that anxiety is not a flaw but a signal pointing to unmet needs.
We work to help you listen to your fear in a grounded, supportive way. By slowing down and regulating the nervous system, you can access the wisdom that fear provides without being swept into panic or overwhelming reactions. Therapy gives you tools to stay within your window of tolerance, where emotions can be felt, understood, and integrated without flooding or shutdown.
If your experience of fear feels overwhelming, constant, or disruptive, you don’t have to face it alone. Our therapists work with you to help you settle your nervous system, expand your capacity to tolerate emotions, and listen to the wisdom of fear without being trapped in panic.
Together, we guide you toward greater self-understanding, regulation, and emotional resilience, so fear serves its intended purpose: keeping you safe, aware, and connected to your needs.

We believe in empowering you with the tools and techniques necessary to manage and overcome anxiety effectively. From Mindfulness practices and relaxation exercises to working with the Core Emotions so you can better discern your needs, your therapist works with you to personalize the work in the therapy room. We may also use Narrative Therapy to help you explore your story to better understand how your anxiety may be a trauma response, a way you learned to respond and adapt to a difficult childhood.
In addition to individual therapy sessions, we may also recommend incorporating group therapy, providing you with a supportive community of individuals who understand what you are going through.
As you progress through counseling, you will discover newfound strength and resilience within yourself. You'll learn to recognize and acknowledge your triggers without allowing them to dictate your life. With each small victory and breakthrough, you'll gain confidence in your ability to face challenges head-on and embrace life with a renewed sense of purpose and optimism.
Our ultimate goal is to help you not only manage your anxiety but also thrive in spite of it. By addressing the root causes of your anxiety and developing healthy coping mechanisms, you will be better equipped to navigate life's ups and downs with grace and resilience.
