Marcy’s approach to the therapeutic process is designed as a collaboration between committed therapist and individual clients who desire a deeper level of engagement in life. Marcy is enthusiastic about helping individuals resolve the conflict and issues in their lives that are holding them back from their potential and then assisting them with personal goal setting, purpose and passion development, and personal growth.

Marcy found her passion to become a therapist after two decades in the business world and raising two children. Attending graduate school at age 40, Marcy is able to share knowledge, empathy and understanding from a seasoned experienced place in addition to academic training. She takes an eclectic approach to counseling depending on the individual circumstances. A holistic approach to the person is the core of her practice. Her counseling time, when appropriate, may include nature walks, outdoor lunches, nutrition education, fitness development and psycho-education.

She has a focus that resonates with teens and young adults, as well as, mature adults dealing with: anxiety, depression, transition, relationships, family of origin, assertiveness, identity and adjustment challenges. She has pre-marital training, emotional focused therapy training and Level 1 EMDR training. She has facilitated and led psycho-education groups on co-dependency/boundaries, core emotions, parenting and spiritual development and fitness. She also has education in Adult ADHD, disenfranchised grief including abortion and infidelity and career counseling.

Marcy holds a degree in Communications from Middle Tennessee State University and a Masters in Counseling from Trevecca Nazarene University.
