Ben has been working in the counseling field since January, 2013 and is a graduate from Trevecca Nazarene University with a Master’s Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy. He holds a Temporary License in Marriage and Family Therapy in the State of Tennessee while finishing requirements for full licensure. Ben lived in Mexico City for two years then obtained a BA Degree from MTSU in Spanish followed by a four-year opportunity to work at Vanderbilt Medical Center as a Spanish Medical Interpreter. He is passionate about helping people who struggle with sexual addictions, their spouses, couples therapy and adolescents who are engaged in unhealthy sexual behavior. Ben is about to finish his certification to become a CSAT (Certified Sexual Addiction Therapist) having been taught by world renowned therapists such as Patrick Carnes, Ken Adams, Stefanie Carnes, Thomas Tullos, Alex Katahakis and many others. He finished an externship in Emotionally Focused Therapy and will be working on certification in EFT and EMDR. His clinical focus also includes Anxiety, Depression, Divorce and Divorce Adjustment, PTSD, Relational Issues, Stress, Grief, Boundary issues, Spiritual issues, and other life related concerns. He accepts clients 13 years and older and works with both English and Spanish speaking clients.
